Nathan Shah’s life has been upended by the harshest of circumstances. Suffering from paralysis, he finds himself trapped in a body that refuses to move, dependent on the help of others for even the simplest tasks.

“I am suffering from paralysis,” he says, his voice steady but heavy with the weight of his words. “I am extremely poor. I cannot afford treatment. There is no one to support me financially.”

The challenges don’t stop there. Nathan’s house was destroyed in a flood, leaving him with no shelter and no place to call home. With no income and no family to turn to, he relies on his neighbours for food. But even that is uncertain.

“I rely on my neighbours for food,” he explains. “If I don’t get any, I sleep hungry.”
