In the bustling streets of Rawalpindi, 9-year-old Noor-ud-Din and his 15-year-old sister stand side by side, battling the weight of poverty every single day. Their father, once the family’s sole provider, was injured in a tragic accident and can no longer work. Now, these two children bear the burden of supporting their family, selling bowls of homemade kheer (sweet rice pudding) on the streets.

Every day at noon, they leave their small rented room and step into the chaos of the city. From scorching heat to pouring rain and biting cold, they endure it all. By 10 PM, they return home—often exhausted, sometimes empty-handed.

Despite their struggles, Noor-ud-Din still goes to school, clinging to his dream of a brighter future. But his sister’s education was sacrificed for survival. Instead of classrooms, her days are spent on the streets, standing beside her brother with quiet determination.
