"I watch my son cry from hunger, and I feel my heart shatter into a thousand pieces."

At just 32 years old, Noveed has endured a lifetime of hardship. Disabled since childhood, he’s spent his days fighting against an unforgiving world. But now, with a broken crutch and a broken spirit, his struggles have reached an unbearable level.

Noveed shares a tiny rented home in Lahore with his wife and their 4-year-old son, Muhammad Shehbaz. Every day is a battle they can no longer win.

Shehbaz suffers from a severe allergy that leaves him in pain, but Noveed cannot afford to take him to a doctor. Most days, the family has nothing but water to offer the little boy. Milk is a luxury they can only dream of, and the hunger gnaws at their bodies and hearts.

Noveed’s wife, herself a survivor of a tragic childhood accident that left her without a leg and a hand, tries to support him in every way she can. But their situation is dire. With mounting unpaid rent, electricity, and gas bills, they fear they will soon be homeless.

"We have nothing," says Noveed, tears in his eyes. "No food, no milk, no future for my son. Even my crutch is broken, and I can’t fix it. I feel like I’ve failed my family."

Despite their suffering, this family hasn’t lost hope. They turn to Allah every day, praying for mercy and a kind soul to help them.
