"I suffered from Typhoid fever when I was three months old," Rukshana says, her voice thick with sadness, the weight of her past still casting a long shadow over her present. The burden she carries is one of both physical and emotional pain, with each day serving as a reminder of the hardships she's endured.

At a tender age, Rukshana was forced to confront the harshness of life when she lost her father suddenly to a heart attack. "We are four siblings, our father passed away, he had a heart attack," she shares, her voice trembling with the ache of that irreplaceable loss. It’s clear that the grief of losing a father, especially at such a young age, has never truly left her.

Now, Rukshana finds herself in the heartbreaking position of being the primary caretaker for her family. "We are in deep trouble, we have neither an earner nor a caretaker," she says, her words breaking as tears flow freely. The weight of responsibility that rests on her frail shoulders is unbearable, and yet, she has no choice but to bear it. With no one else to rely on, she must not only care for her own siblings but also step in to care for her aunt’s orphaned children after her aunt’s husband passed away. The scope of her role has grown beyond what anyone her age should be expected to handle.

Adding to her immense burden is the illness of her brother. "My brother is extremely ill, and unable to work, he can't listen and understand," she explains, her voice filled with sorrow. This leaves her shouldering even more of the responsibility, and the strain is evident. Every day is a battle, not just against her own limitations but against the crushing weight of the world around her.

Despite these overwhelming challenges, Rukshana clings to the faintest hope that if she can receive the medical treatment she so desperately needs, she could regain the strength required to support her family. It’s a fragile hope, but it’s all she has left.
