At just 35 years old, Sumera has endured more pain than most face in a lifetime. When she lost her husband, she also lost the small stability her family had. Now, as a widow, she is the sole provider for her 13-year-old son and her ailing father, who battles both heart disease and tuberculosis.

Sumera’s family lives in a single rented room, where the walls seem to close in tighter with each passing day.

Her reality is heart-wrenching:
